People with disabilities in Armenia


In Armenia, society is not yet fully sensitized to the issue of disability, and unfortunately, people with disabilities are often discriminated against. However, there are an increasing number of inclusive schools and projects that are raising awareness about people with disabilities in Armenia.

Armenia has approximately 2.8 million inhabitants.

In Armenia there are living 8,771 people with disabilities under the age of 18.

In 2021, only one-fifth of schools were prepared for inclusion.
